It's best to start your pets on a small amount of CBD and then ease into the dosing guidelines for specific products. This allows you to gradually work your way up the optimal dose without wasting too much pet CBD oil in the process. As for a regime, it’s best to start by administering CBD twice p/day.

 

Small Dogs (2-15 lbs)

Start with a 2 mg dose. Small dogs will need the least amount of CBD, but tiny dogs have a fast metabolism. Each time you want to increase the dosage, you can do it in 2 mg increments until your dog finds some relief.

Try not to exceed dosing 15 mg of CBD in extra small dogs per day.

 

Medium-Small (15 – 30 lbs)

Starting with a 2 mg dose, and slightly increasie until your pet gets some results is suggested. Doses can be increased by no more than 2 mg, but be mindful that they shouldn’t exceed 2 doses per day.

The maximum dose of CBD for a dog of this size is about 20 mg per day.

 

Medium-Large (30-60 lbs)

Larger dogs require more CBD to experience the desired effects. A 1-3 mg dose of CBD is a good starting point. Dosing may be increased by 3 mg.

The maximum dose for CBD for a dog of this size is about 30 mg per day.

 

With very large dogs, you can expect to have a much higher dose, however, it’s best to work your way up slowly by 3 mg per dose until you find signs of relief.

 

Make sure to keep a watchful eye on your dog’s behavior to notice if the effects of CBD are kicking in.
